Jerusalem Temple Mount The Dome of the Spirits

Is the Dome of the Spirits ‘Souls’, and Not the Islamic ‘shrine’ Dome of the Rock on the Jewish Temple Mount in Jerusalem the Actual origional location of the Holy of Holies from King Solomon’s Original Jewish Temple? Yes, Possibly!

Aelia Capitolina Emperor Hadrian’s Pagan Jerusalem

The city of Jerusalem was destroyed and razed to the ground by Roman General Titus Flavius Vespasianus in 70 A.D. (Arch of Titus in Rome commerates the battle) but a new Roman city Aelia Capitolina was built in 130-135 A.D. on the same site by the Roman Emperor Hadrian.

The Roman city “Aelia Capitolina” was then renamed back to Jerusalem by the first Christian Emperor Constantine the Great.

The church of the Holy Sepulchre (Concecrated on September 13, 335 A.D.) was built on the Roman site of the Temple of “Venus” originally constructed by Hadrian in aprox 132 A.D.

The Roman Temple of “Jupiter” on the Temple Mount near where the Jewish second Temple had been was also demolished and the city made into a Christian place of pilgrimage.

Note: The current Dome of the Rock Shrine (previously a Crusader era 8 sided Church) is on the exact location of Emperor Hadrian’s Temple of Jupiter (Greek – Zeus) – the chisle marks on the rock at the Dome of the Rock Shrine are from the Roman Temple of Jupiter not the Jewish Temples of Solomon (1st Temple) or Herod’s 2nd Temple.

The Roman pagan name Aelia Capitolina (Arabized to Iliya or Ilya) became widely used by Muslims (rejecting the name Jerusalem) to refer to the city of Jerusalem in later historical and administrative documents such as the spurious (questionable) Pact of Umar in 637 A.D. following the Muslim conquest of the Levant. – Google AI Gemini

Western scholars’ opinions differ on the origins and authenticity of the Pact of Umar. – Wikipedia
